Position: Lunch Room Supervisor

Hours:  10:00-1:00 daily on all days school is in session

Wage: $11 / hour

Duties / Responsibilities:

    Daily

  • The kitchen supervisor answers to the principal/administrator of the school.
  • Report to work daily by 10:00.  If unable to be at work, notify the administrator by 6:00 a.m. that morning.
  • Take and record the temperatures of refrigerator, freezer and milk cooler on designated form
  • Prepare the kitchen for daily serving of meals

-acquire the daily lunch count from the office manager

-roll silverware for use at meal

-count out trays for use at meal

-prepare steam table for food delivery

-receive food from the food prep service @ the door #5 at the designated time

-check food temperatures a record in book

-prepare items necessary for daily meal (condiments, etc)

  • Serve Lunch

-Serve designated portions to students and staff with the help of parent volunteer.  This will occur in 2 lunch periods.

  • Clean up Kitchen following lunch

-Wash all trays and silverware using the dishwasher.

-Wash all pans 

-Store and label with a date all opened food items 

-Sweep kitchen floor.

-Clean and disinfect all counter surfaces.

-Clean the fronts of refrigerator and freezer

  • Prepare A3 snack per the menu provided by Mrs. Skiles. The count can be attained from the office manager.

Weekly

  • Order the milk for the following week from Highland Dairy
  • Clean out refrigerator and dispose of any necessary items.
  • Clean out milk cooler
  • Organize and clean pantry storage area

Necessary skills & abilities

  • Strong communication skills necessary in order to work with students, staff, parents & administrator
  • Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to complete tasks in designated time-frame
  • Complete necessary trainings to be in compliance with nutrition services and NDE
